While some programs attempt to teach traditional or “grown-up” yoga to students, we facilitate fun Yoga movements together to connect to all students regardless of age, ability and cultural background, perfect for integrated classroom setting! When we are quiet and relaxed, we are open to receiving and reinforcing information. Guided positive relaxing images help increase our concentration and memory skills, improve academic learning, and excel in sports and most importantly reduce stress. Our quiet time becomes an opportunity to share our wishes, dreams, and fears with each other. We all learn easily, creatively, and without stress!
Yoga is a gentle introduction to physical activity for more sedentary students, and an ideal complement to the athletic endeavors of more sports-minded kids. Remember that kids play sports to have fun, so we keep the pressure low, the support high, and injuries at bay. Yoga helps athletes progress from average to advanced, advanced to awesome.
